The Past 8 yrs.

this morning a friend was talking about the past 8 yrs. of her youngest son’s life starting possibly with him no longer being able to eat; I used to keep the little guy and was there the day I believe was the beginning, feeding him, or rather not actually still literally feeding him; he was slightly beyond that point, though maybe I should have and he shouldn’t have been, but gave him his food and everything, as I remember, seemed to be fine; I don’t remember there being a problem, but later, maybe not even like that day, but seems quite a bit later, he began having problems, coughing, not really being able to breathe, till they finally took him in to be checked and one of those peas had apparently found its way to his lung and lodged there – I felt so bad – well, maybe it wasn’t so long, because it does seem like it was traced to that particular day, so maybe even it was just later that day – like the post reads, it has been 8 yrs. – but then from there and I don’t really understand, maybe it caused him to develop severe – and I’m talking severe – allergies, so much so that it led to him not being able to eat – yes, eat – at all for years, such that he ended up having to wear a backpack with nutrition feeding to a feeding tube that he had to wear, but her point was, although seemingly at the beginning of this his health just took a downward spiral, although looking back it seemed as if he were having issues before, he’s somewhat bounced back and even though he hasn’t been able to actually eat, which has its emotional component to it – my great-uncle went through that toward the end of his life – nutrition’s not all there is to it – this little guy’s been blessed with a great mom who’s taught him the importance of magnifying the good so he’s been able to go ahead and enjoy life

I'm a transplant, born up north but raised in the middle, now I'm down here where you don't see too many snowflakes; I'll probably post just about as often (here at least)
