And sometimes that’s not bad

After all the drama, when they finally decided to just leave they found the best place – in the worst neighborhood. They have a nice church-going couple for landlords/maintenance who just really like them, especially since they were expecting a baby. Or could it be because they’re just straight up with everybody and tell it like it is – they expect their rent and they’ll hold up their end of the bargain – so therefore they’re willing to pay their rent and hold up their end. They also have a laundry right outside their door. It is kept locked and they have to call them to come unlock it when they want to wash, which doesn’t go too well with their schedule – oh, their new one, that is, but that’s another story I will try to tell, except it is their old one – anyway. So they come out and wash quite a bit but at least things are going better and it’s a chance to see them. The new apartment is also ground floor, which is better with her advanced pregnancy state and then the baby, unlike the old one, which was upstairs; so in several ways, it was time to move anyway. Also the new apartment is not carpeted, which could be hard on the baby but at the same time is easier to keep clean; of course the fact he was straight up with them regarding animals might be helping too. And the fact that she’s so far along in her pregnancy is helping her to not want animals so bad; she’s getting ready for the baby now. All in all it’s been a good move and even though over all it’s in what’s considered a bad neighborhood, they’re fenced off from everywhere else – oh, and also they have a nice fenced backyard with a sliding glass patio door and patio to it – and set back from the street so they’re like in their own little cul-de-sac and it’s working out really well.

Oh, and did I mention that the rent’s $100 cheaper!
