Fire in the backwoods

Backwoods people and their battery chargers – for their 4-wheelers, no less, even though they have a shop. Don’t charge your battery for your 4-wheeler in the living room of your house, especially if you live in an old house in the backwoods that you’ve been having electrical problems with anyway. This happened to some friends of ours today – thankfully they are in the process of buying a new place anyway and were actually most of them over there working but also thanfully (I think) some of them had just come home to get some more stuff, left, then came right back having forgotten – the microwave to use at the new place – so that’s one thing they will definitely need – men! of course they’re going to forget that – until they want something to eat! Anyway in just that short space of time when they got back there was smoke coming out and by the time they could call the local VFD from just next door it was flaming. Scared the poor little girl. Thankfully her bed had just been moved out. Amazing how the news gets around – we’d stopped by another friends and she’d heard the news from Florida. The guys were all there when we got there then the ladies showed up with sweat rags – don’t know why the guys don’t carry those as well as their drinks. They also had a camera to get pix. Basically total loss – just rekindled as hubby got in so he took off – guess he’s doing 2nd shift duty since he missed the first go-round – I’m sure all those guys are tired.

Life in the backwoods – see ya!
